Message On a car with mild high boost knock to see if it could detect the knock.

As I've understood it, the processor speed of the stock ECU was limiting reliable knock detection at higher RPMs. And of course since knock spy just monitors the stock ECU my expectations for it are limited.

So, I'd be very surprised if it was as sensitive at detecting knock at high RPM as the J&S, due to the super slow 1980s processor in our Z32. But, if it can detect even moderate knock at higher RPMs at all, it could be well worth the 100 dollar price. It would be very informative to see how different the knock detection threshold is for the J&S vs the knock spy software. If you get an opportunity to test this, please let us know!

BTW, I've driven my car a fair amount the last two weekends. Still need the 3rd gear shift fork (so skipping 3rd), but man -- the car runs so smooth and nicely -- great tune! Now, I'm mastering filling up with "e85" and topping off with 93 to reach e63 +/-3. Thanks again to you and Seb for the great work!
